-- Former WWE superstar D-Lo Brown made his return to The WWE last night in a dark match prior to WWE Monday Night Raw at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City. D-Lo Brown defeated Charlie Haas after a frog splash. WWE.com announced that D-Lo Brown had been signed to a new contract on June 5, 2008.

-- The WWE Fan Nation held a live Q & A with John Cena prior to Night of Champions last night. During the chat, Cena confirmed his rumored relationship with Mickie James. However, he notes that he is no longer involved with her. One fan asked, "First of all, good luck tonight! I love you, and I know your going to win. If you could pick one thing in your life to live over again, what would it be, and why?" Cena replied, "My relationship with Mickie James because it was over much too soon." Cena also said that he recently recorded a single with Snoop Dogg that will be appearing on Snoop's MySpace account. "I have just recently recorded a single with Snoop Dogg which should be on his MySpace page. That has led to the possibility of a ten song downloadable project with myself, Snoop, Freddie Foxxx and The Dogg Pound," Cena said.

-- WWE Hall of Famer “Hillbilly Jim” Morris was recently involved in an altercation with a high school teacher, as reported on WrestleZone.com June 29. Morris, who was at a park near his house, argued with the teacher after an issue arose involving the man’s dogs. The man accused Morris of punching him, but no charges were filed. --Indianapolis Colts star receiver Marvin Harrison attended a recent TNA iMPACT! TV taping in Orlando, FL. -- Tommy Dreamer, who has an account on WWE's Fan Nation website, wrote in a blog last Friday that he plans on giving his "uncensored opinion" on the state of ECW and his own career in two weeks. "To quote Y2J Chris Jericho, I am going to "break the walls down." Actually, if there is a line to cross, I will cross it," Dreamer wrote. "The walls will be destroyed from their foundation. Make sure you tell your friends to read this and prepare to watch history be made again."

-- At Night of Champions, Mike Adamle said that the McMahon family will be issuing a statement regarding the condition of Vince tonight on Raw

-- Deuce, who was moved from SmackDown to Raw in the Supplemental Draft, it set to get a makeover. There has been talk of recognizing Deuce's background and morphing him into something resembling the new Jimmy Snuka, who is his adopted father. Before joining WWE, he did a Jimmy Snuka Jr. gimmick under the names Jimmy Snuka Jr., Solo Snuka, and Solo. He has also played a card shark gimmick from Las Vegas (which is where he's from) under the name Deuce Shade, but they probably won't be going in that direction.

WWE NEWS & NOTES

- RAW's current top faces are set to be Batista, John Cena and Shawn Michaels with help from Kane, CM Punk and Rey Mysterio. The top heels will be Chris Jericho and JBL, which means a heel turn for Batista could come sooner than later. Randy Orton also will take the place of a top heel once he returns. John Cena vs. Chris Jericho could be a long-term feud with WWE holding off on Cena vs. Batista until the first of next year.

As far as SmackDown goes, right now the top faces are set to be The Undertaker and Triple H, with Big Show, Jeff Hardy and Kennedy helping out. There's still a chance that The Great Khali will turn face to join that list. The heels look to be Edge, Umaga, MVP, Big Daddy V and possibly Shelton Benjamin. No word yet whether or not WWE will use Carlito in a heel or face role, even though he hates playing the babyface.

- Reportedly, there was an argument between Jim Ross and Vince McMahon after RAW as Ross turned down an invitation to fly on the WWE corporate jet from San Antonio to Houston for SmackDown. As noted earlier in his blog, Ross contemplated quitting WWE with his wife until 6:00 a.m Tuesday morning. Anyway, McMahon told Ross that he (Vince) risked his life on RAW and ruined his son-in-law's life for the sake of the company. Word got out on what Vince said regarding Triple H and it gave some people a chuckle considering that his move to SmackDown is greatly beneficial to his personal life.

- RAW head writer Brian Gewirtz had an idea for Ted DiBiase, Jr. to play off his dad's legendary "Million Dollar Man" gimmick and "buy" a draft pick somehow, but the plan was shot down.

- With Umaga being moved to SD!, there's talk about making him cut his own promos. This would mean his character would reveal that indeed he can speak English first.


- Ron Killings is expected to make his WWE TV debut sometime next month. He will be using the nickname "The Truth". Note that it's the same nickname he used in TNA.

TNA superstar and former World Heavyweight Champion "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama, on Tuesday afternoon to repair a fully-torn ACL in his knee. Renowned physician Dr. James Andrews performed the procedure. According to Dr. Andrews, Steiner could be out anywhere from four to six months. Steiner originally suffered the injury on May 11 during the Sacrifice Pay-Per-View event, where he faced Samoa Joe and Kaz in the main event for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Dave Meltzer of WrestlingObserver.com is reporting that Kurt Angle blew out his knee on Monday night but did work the Tuesday iMPACT! taping. He worked with a with big brace on his knee. Stay tuned for more news on this injury.
